Disney Reveals Toy Story 4 Plans...

Morning all..

Yes - it's back!  22 years after it appeared on the screen amazing people with stunning CGI,  Toy Story -  one of Disney's biggest grossing movies of all time.

Toy Story 4 will be directed by John Lasseter, who masterminded the first two films in the series.
He said the movie would open a "new chapter" in the lives of the characters.

"We love these characters so much, they are like family to us," said Lasseter. "We don't want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what's gone before."

The last film in the money-spinning franchise came out in 2010 and raked in more than $1bn (£630m) at the worldwide box office.

The new movie is set for release in June 2017 and will be looking to reclaim the crown for the biggest-grossing animation from 2013's Frozen.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are expected to reprise their voice-over roles as Woody and Buzz, but the exact plot is a closely guarded secret.

The original Toy Story was heralded for its technical brilliance and witty dialogue, and proved a hit with both children and adults.

Buzz's catchphrase "To infinity and beyond" became one of the film world's most recognisable quotes.

Disney bought animation studio Pixar for $7.4bn (£4.7bn) in 2006 in a move which left Apple co-founder Steve Jobs as Disney's biggest shareholder.

Disney Springs Parking Garage Date Announced...

Orlando Sentinel Reports:

Visitors to Downtown Disney can start using the complex's first new parking garage Nov. 20.
The garage will open for a trial run for employees only on Sunday, and then additional levels will open for the general public two and a half weeks after that, Disney said.
The opening of the garage should help alleviate congestion in the area. Getting around and parking has been particularly difficult during Downtown Disney's expansion. The complex is doubling its number of dining, shopping and entertainment options as it transforms into an area called Disney Springs.

The project includes two parking garages with 6,000 spaces. It also includes two pedestrian bridges, widening of Buena Vista Drive with dedicated bus lanes, and an extension off an Interstate 4 exit ramp that will lead directly into the garage.
The garage has five levels with about 4,000 parking spaces. On Nov. 20, the first through fourth levels will be partly open with about 1,700 spaces available. In December, nearly 3,000 spaces will be available.
Features such as entrance ramps and escalators also still need to be added.

With attraction photos, you can capture some amazing Disney moments. And now, Disney PhotoPass Service is making it even easier for you to collect those memories.
Beginning today, if you’re wearing an active MagicBand on select Walt Disney World Resort attractions, your photos will be automatically associated to your My Disney Experience account. You don’t have to do anything. In fact, if you’ve worn your MagicBand on one of the participating attractions in the last 45 days, you should be able to find that photo in your account now.
Don’t have a MagicBand? Don’t worry. We’re making it easier for you, too. Today we turned on new touch points at Magic Kingdom Park (Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain). So after you ride, simply find your photo on the preview wall and touch your park ticket or Memory Maker card to the touch point to associate your photo. We expect to have photo touch points installed at Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme parks by mid-November.
Beginning soon, guests wearing active MagicBands will have attraction videos automatically associated to their accounts. Videos are currently available for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.
Just like attraction photos, if you’ve worn your MagicBand on one of the participating attractions in the last 45 days, you should be able to find that attraction video in your account soon. Guests will be able to view these videos in their accounts, but a Memory Maker entitlement is required to download and share them.
Just remember that all Disney PhotoPass photos and videos expire 45 days after they are taken. So be sure to log in to your account to secure your memories before they expire.

After Disney’s new animated feature “Big Hero 6” hits theaters in 3D in November, the stars of the film are heading to Disney Parks to greet their fans.

At Walt Disney World Resort, Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests can step inside The Magic of Disney Animation attraction to tour the lab from the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, and then meet Hiro Hamada and his huggable buddy Baymax in Hiro’s garage workshop.

When Hiro and Baymax fly west to Disneyland park in California, they’ll find a home-away-from-home in a recreation of Hiro’s robotics workshop near the Starcade in Tomorrowland. Disneyland guests can also get an exclusive preview of the film at the “Special Extended Sneak Peek of ‘Big Hero 6,’” now playing in Tomorrowland’s Magic Eye Theater.

With all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Big Hero 6” is an action-packed comedy-adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who’s catapulted into the midst of a dangerous plot and must transform his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—and a diverse group of friends into a band of high-tech heroes.

Give Kids The World - Gingerbread Run 5K...

Something that is dear to our hearts....

The Sixth Annual Gingerbread Run 5k Presented by Aaron’s, set for Saturday, November 8 at Give Kids The World (GKTW) Village in Kissimmee, Florida, is attracting record numbers of running enthusiasts and philanthropic contributors. New this year is the participation of Medieval Times, the popular dinner show that has one of its castles less than one mile from GKTW Village. With the assistance of the King, Queen and Knights of the Roundtable, the 5K race will start and finish at Medieval Times.

The race invites the public inside the whimsical 70-acre “storybook” resort to meet the families they are helping support. The professionally timed race will lead participants on a 3.1 mile path through a child’s fantasyland, past an enchanted castle and a snoring tree, through magical bubbles and even by the world’s largest CANDY LAND game where sweet treats are doled out by Queen Frostine and Princess Lolly.

“The Gingerbread Run 5k Presented by Aaron’s brings people from all walks of life to experience firsthand the love and joy that permeate our Village,” Pam Landwirth, GKTW president said. “It touches your heart to see our precious wish children and their families rooting for runners as they cross the finish line.”

The family-friendly event will feature live music, a Zumba dance warm-up, a Kidz Zone with face painting, balloon animals and even a slime show by Nickelodeon. Characters including DreamWorks’ Gingy, Nickelodeon’s Dora The Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants as well as Give Kids The World’s Mayor Clayton, Ms. Merry and Murphy the Gingerbread Man will all be on hand to delight and encourage participants.

Last year’s event raised over $165,000 and this year’s goal is to generate $190,000 to benefit kids with life-threatening illnesses. More than 20 national and local corporations contributed in-kind or monetary donations including presenting sponsor Aaron’s, as well as Nickelodeon Suites, Boston Market Corporation, Orange Lake Resorts, Regions Bank and many more. “Virtual runners” from around the world are encouraged to show their support of the organization by sponsoring a runner or making a donation online.
GKTW announced a fun social media campaign called “Traveling Murphy,” in which friends and supporters are encouraged to take a selfie with a Murphy cut-out in their city and send it in. Hopefully, Murphy will be photographed in as many as 500 cities to get the word out that those who do not live in Central Florida can still participate in the Gingerbread Run 5K by being a “Virtual Runner.”
